Push notifications when using desktop client

Hi.

ever since I switched from Android (Conversations) to iOS (ChatSecure) I noticed a rather annoying behavior. While I am chatting on gajim, I would also get a notifications for every incoming message on ChatSecure. Conversations does not do this.

Is there a way of suppressing notifications if there has been a message sent by me from another client within the last x minutes? Alternatively, if that is not working, is there a way to limit ChatSecure to one notification (until notifications are cleared)?
