Add option for not transmitting online status
It seems that it is not possibile to disable leaking the online status. This is a necessary feature for privacy aware people.
Don't converse with people you cannot trust. switch to wickr for those
I am a privacy advocate. I am infuriated by people disabling presence, read receipts and similar. I won't chat with them via jabber after they do.
Why should I use a proprietary not dezentralized service instead of an open source dezentralized one?
My aim is to move some people to jabber/ with OMEMO encryption, but some of them want to disable the online status. Even WhatsApp provides the possibility...
