Option to Hide MCP Server Count Indicator

Open Aki-community opened this issue 10 months ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The MCP icon in the Chainlit chat interface displays a red badge with a number indicating how many MCP servers are currently connected.

While this indicator provides useful information about connected MCP servers, the red badge creates a visual distraction that resembles notification indicators in other applications. This leads to:

  • Unnecessary visual attention being drawn to a status indicator rather than a notification
  • The red color typically signifies alerts or items requiring action, creating cognitive dissonance
  • A cleaner, less distracting interface is preferred for focused work

Describe the solution you'd like Option to Hide MCP Server Count Indicator.

@willydouhard do you mind take a look? I really like MCP feature itself but the red indicator is really annoying.
