Economizer hours analysis
I had a few user requests to implement economizer analysis. For airside economizing this is similar to existing functionality on the natural ventilation tab, though we'd need a few other features - e.g. different default ranges, another input for minimum outdoor air fraction, high limit controls, etc. For waterside economizing, we'd need to use wetbulb conditions instead of drybulb.
A few options for how to proceed here:
- add this as a new tab,
- combine this - essentially similar - functionality with the natural ventilation tab, and rename it to something else
- add as a feature to the psychrometric chart tab.
I'd lean towards the last option above.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for gathering and sharing feedback. We could implement something like this in the mat vent tab with a drop-down that allows us to swap the chart (and the controls) being displayed.
I am not too familiar with the details of the air side economizer, so maybe you could either sketch the inputs or we could have a quick zoom call about it.

I'd be happy to discuss, please pick a time that suits you on my calendar.
There's a good article on high limit controls here if you are interested.
thanks, I'll look into this and get back to you
