Catima Import: Overwrite existing Entries
The Catima export simply tries to insert any records it finds, skipping any existing records by failing to insert them.
Users should probbably be able to choose if to keep or overwrite old records before the Import.
I think it would be much better if Catima popped up a dialog when it found a conflict. Something like the Nextcloud conflict dialog:
Obviously we don't have date info, but we can display all fields next to each other.
Hello, I would like to vote up for this issue. I am using my desktop computer to tweak my cards deck (improve images, set brackground color, easily create new gift cards by copy paste), then import. But existing cards are indeed not updated, which is not what the user expects. My workaround is to delete all cards before the import, but this is not user friendly.
(Note: the tool is really great. Thank you very much for developping it and sharing it freely)
This has been improved in #1422, cards with differences are inserted as duplicates (so you at least don't lose cards when importing). But it'll still need further improvement.
