Failed to get sensor data [Magic Remote is not Ready]
This error constantly appears at the bottom of the LG TV screen. Windows 11 responds to most buttons on the Magic Remote, but the left and right mouse buttons do not work.
I had the same error. 1) Closing the program "Remote Mouse" on my PC AND 2) reinstalling the Magic Remote application on the TV fixed the problem for me.
All the buttons are working fine for me, but this error appears every time i start the TV using any other method than using the remote. Then I have to find the remote and use it to press the error text to make it disappear. Any way to disable this warning?
Edit: To add on, as with the issue for alex-snd the mouse button does not work when this error message appears. To fix one needs to restart the magicremote program from the LG OS menu
The "Failed to get sensor data [Magic Remote is not Ready]" error disappears if you:
-
Turn off the TV using the Magic Remote.
-
Turn it back on immediately.
Result:
-
Error vanishes; mouse buttons work in Windows 11.
-
No need to restart Magic Remote services.
While what you say is correct, my workflow is still impacted by this error message since i use the TV mainly as a PC monitor and thus wake the monitor by waking the pc without the remote most of the time.
I still want the option to control the PC with the magic remote e.g. in the evenings when using the screen as a TV instead. It would be good to enable a system for disabling this error message, and enable a sporadic pinging to look for an active magic remote e.g. every 10 seconds or so, such that it hooks and enables the mouse button functionality when the remote is active.
