Safari No Longer Supports Legacy Safari Extensions (.safariextz)

So you've found a problem in CatBlock?

1. List some steps we can follow to make the bug happen on our end.

  1. Download the latest release for Safari on macOS.
  2. Open Safari.
  3. Click on the .safariextz file.

2. When you followed these steps above, what did you think should happen?

CatBlock should've been installed successfully.

3. What actually happened instead?

4. Finally, click the CatBlock button, then Options, then Support on the page that appears. Provide us with the debug info from that page.

5. Any other information you think might be useful for us to know?

Converting a Legacy Safari Extension to a Safari App Extension

Thanks for this!

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac to develop on, so this is not something I am able to do, as I understand that Safari extensions now require a paid developer licence from Apple to publish, so this will have to go low-priority and unsupported for now.
