Can't get Hardcore Questing Mode enabled
When Playing 3.7.1, I don't have the Quest Book when starting the map and the console says "This server doesn't have Hardcore Questing Mode enabled" after the world is created, what's wrong? Is it just me? I choose the HQM Quest Line option when installing the pack in ATLauncher, shouldn't that be all I need?
I checked the ATLauncher\Instances\TechNodefirmacraft\config\hqm\hqmconfig.cfg and it has duplicate lines of B:"Auto-start hardcore mode"=false with the other line set to true. Even if I change the file, keeping the line set to true, the other one line just gets restored again after game launch... heck, changing it and setting it to read-only works for not having the file restored, but have no effect on me getting the Quest Book, so that's a dead end, but weird no less.
Could this be something HQM does wrong or is it maybe the launcher? I would've assumed this to have worked straight out of the box, I'm playing SP at the moment and want to keep cheats off, is there something I can do about this?
It is just HQM. You can enable it in game. I think /hqm enable. You might need to cheat in a quest book, although they are craftable. Be aware HQM is buggy and so you may have quest not complete properly.
Huh, strange, I started a world with cheating enabled and ran /hqm enable, got the book and all, perfect. Just for completeness sake, I started a new world with cheating disabled to see if I still could run the command... well, I didn't need to, the command I ran on my other world applied to this one as well. Damn that's finicky.
Well, thanks for the help and the heads up, much appreciated.
