Is it normal that the ESP32-Zero is suuuuuper hot while working？

Some users have reported they get quite warm. My test one runs OK. You could attach an adhesive heatsink to it to help the heat dissipate.

Mine getting hot only with to much current 😊😇 up to 1000mA it runs nicely without getting too hot
