Esp32-s3 lcd 1.9
I would like you to clarify a doubt and help me. I bought the ESP32-S3 LCD 1.9 board, but it is a different model than the one on your website. This was the model I purchased: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNAc6GT. Does it work normally to control the Tonex One? Thank you very much
Hi. That board is not currently supported, however I am working on another one that has the same LCD display, so I already have a UI design and screen drivers done. I have ordered one of these Waveshare boards, which will arrive tomorrow. I think I should be able to add support for it quickly.
Thank you. In that case, in the future, will this board I purchased (ESP32-S3 LCD 1.9) work perfectly controlling the Tonex One?
I think it will be OK.
Acho que vai ficar tudo bem.
Thanks. I will look forward to controlling the Tonex One through this ESP32-S3 LCD 1.9 board.
I should have it finished in a few more days.
Congratulations! I'll be waiting, brother. Thanks for the support!
Hi, friend! Have you managed to program this board model so that it is compatible with the Tonex One? Thanks
Hi. I have it coded, but its not working properly yet. I am in the process of debugging it.
Hi Greg, I followed the instructions to power up the 1.9 board, but it won't power up when I connect it to 9V power. I'm using the board that converts 9V to 5V. What's wrong?
Hi. It looks like you have the + and - wires backwards. Please check this area carefully.
Greg, I reversed the wires, but the board didn't turn on. Actually, something strange is happening. When I connect the 1.9 board to my power supply (Vitoos DD5 SV2), the power supply light goes out, and when I disconnect the 1.9 board from the Vitoos power supply, the power supply light comes back on. I tested with another power supply (Visual Sound ISPOT), and the 1.9 board didn't turn on either. However, if I connect the 1.9 board directly to the power supply or with the USB-C cable connected to the PC, the light turns on normally.
Hi. Did you adjust the little "trimpot" on the 9v to 5v board to make sure it is outputing 5 volts? This is very important.
With the light turning off, I guess its taking too much power from the power supply. What is the rating of the power supply output? You would need at least 500 mA at 9 volts. Or, it might indicate that there is a short circuit somewhere in the power area.
Hi Greg, could you tell me what software I should install on my 1.9 touch card?
Hi. The Waveshare 1.9" uses this release: https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/blob/main/Releases/V2.0.1.2/TonexController_V2.0.1.2_Waveshare_1_9.zip
Greg, as shown in the photo, when I try to extract the file, this message appears: no files found.
I checked my master zip file, and also downloaded the zip again from Github. Fort me it opens OK. Maybe try to download again?
Also make sure to download this way:
Greg, I did exactly as you said, but the file is still giving an error and it shows the same message I sent in the previous photo: File not found. I downloaded it from the website (PC) and also from my cell phone, but neither file worked. I tried downloading others (e.g., Waveshare_4_3B_Display) and none of them work; it shows the same message, as if no file existed.

Please try opening the zip with the built-in Windows zip tool. Or some other zip tool. I think Winrar is confused somehow. Or upgrade Winrar to the latest. Winrar on my PC opens the files OK.
Also check your antivirus software. Maybe its interfering?
I updated WinRAR and now it's working normally. Thank you so much, Greg!
Awesome, enjoy it.
