Conectar wi-fi da placa ESP32-S3 ZERO
How do I connect the ESP32-S3 zero board to Wi-Fi?
Hi. Please refer here: https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/blob/main/WebConfiguration.md
Thank you. I would like you to kindly clarify a doubt and help me. I purchased the ESP32-S3 LCD 1.9 Board, but it was a different model than the one on your website. I will send you the attached photo so you can see if it works to control the Tonex One. Thank you very much!

Eu posso conectar meu celular na wi-fi da placa ESP32-S3 ZERO?
Yes you can. You have 2 options:
- set the controller to "access point" mode and connect your phone to the controller
- or, set the controller to "station" mode, and connect the controller to your home WiFi router. Then your phone or PC or anything can connect to the controller
How do I program it to connect to the board's Wi-Fi? I'm a layman on this subject.
It's covered here: https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/blob/main/WebConfiguration.md
Entering Web Control For the first time, it is necessary to connect to the controller in Access Point mode. Once this has been done, the WiFi mode can be changed if desired. To enter Web Control:
Reboot the controller Within 60 seconds, use a phone or PC to connect to the WiFi device "TonexConfig" The password for the network is 12345678 The controller will automatically supply a network address for your device (DHCP is supported) Note: some phones may attempt to use this network for Internet access, which will not be be available. Watch out for any messages asking you to confirm the connection Open a web browser on your device In the address bar of the web browser, enter "tonex.local" (without the quotation marks.) You should see the web config screen Once you have saved the settings (or if you don't want to change anything) you can close the web browser
Hello! I followed your instructions, but I didn't find the wifi network on the esp32-s3 zero board.
Estou usando esta placa, mas não consigo conectar a wifi.
Does the led on the Zero flash when you connect power? If not, make sure the power connections are OK. It must be 5 volts, at least 1 amp. And make sure the + and - are correct.
If the led does flash, then power is OK. On your phone, you might need to refresh the list of devices. Note also that access point mode disables itself after 1 minute, so make sure to check right after powering on. This setting can be changed to not disable WiFi after 1 minute, but you must connect the first time to change the setting.
The LEDs don't blink, but I can control the Tonex One perfectly through the board with the Chocolate pedal. I made a short video to show you, but I can't upload it here. Should I reverse the wires at the terminals?
What controller firmware version are you running?
If you can control the Tonex with the Chocolate, then the power is good, do not reverse the wires.
I can't think of any other reasons for not having WiFi. Just make sure to turn off the controller, turn on the controller, and then scan for wifi straight away. See if your phone allows you to swipe up or down to refresh the scanning, and check if there are any access points at that bottom that need scrolling to see. Also make sure your phone is close by to the controller when doing this.
How can I see which firmware version the esp32-s3 zero has? The Chocolate Pedal firmware version is the latest, if I'm not mistaken it's version 12. I tried to connect to the board using my cell phone and also my notebook, but neither of them found the board's Wi-Fi, unfortunately.
You wont be able to view the current controller version at the moment. It might be safer just to flash the latest V1.0.10.2 release. Some really early versions didn't support WiFi.
and how do I update to version V1.0.10.2.?
Please follow the guide here: https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/blob/main/FirmwareUploading.md
And install the file from here (the one for the Zero): https://github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/tree/main/Releases/V1.0.10.2
Dude, I updated the firmware, as you instructed me, and the LED light turned on (flashed) and I was able to connect my cell phone to the board's wifi. I connected to the tonex.local network and it is working normally. Thank you very much for the support!
Awesome, you are welcome.
Hey Builty,
Thank You for the fantastic work!
Is it possible to wire an expression pedal to an internal port to control the global volume setting? Or are the footswitches only on / off, 0 or 127?
(Global Volume 122 0-127)
big thanks,
Ben

Hi. Expression pedals are not currently supported. A few people have requested it so it might get done
The foot switches, when set to effect mode, can set any Midi values, but only toggling between them. For example, global volume could be set to toggle between 120 and 127, or 10 and 50, or similar.
Hi,
I also vote for an expression pedal input 😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍😀👍
Thanks again for your GREAT application!!
Cheers, Maarten
OK, you guys have convinced me
