F1 no longer toggles tree tabs since 6.6.2

What happened?

Up till 6.6.1, pressing F1 hid / showed tree style tabs. This is no longer the case. Both Windows (6.6.2 and 6.6.3) and Linux (6.6.3) tested.

I've looked at the update history on both my platforms to verify this. There is a slight chance based on dates that the last working version was 6.5.11. I apologize if I got that wrong!

The shortcut for toggling the side bar is listed as Ctrl + Alt + Z, which is very cumbersome.

While browsing issues to avoid posting a duplicate, I've found people complaining about F1 being inappropriate:

https://github.com/BrowserWorks/waterfox/issues/3542 https://github.com/BrowserWorks/waterfox/issues/3782

I don't particularly care about the hotkey being F1, but it should be:

  1. Documented if it changes. The current change was silent, and I wasn't even sure whether I was looking at the same thing with Ctrl + Alt + Z or not, since the external TST extension's F1 still works in parallel with it. It toggles TST specifically, not the sidebar.
  2. Accessible. I personally don't care if it's F4, as long as I am notified.
  3. Preferably configurable, so habits don't need to be broken.

EDIT: Additional info, I think what F1 did previously was not "toggle sidebar", but "turn vertical tabs on / off". The reason is that previously, I had a workflow where if I made tree tabs visible using F1, the top tabs bar disappeared, but when I hid tst, tabs reappeared at the top. With F1 broken, the same only happens when I right click the Expand/Collapse sidebar icon and choose "Turn off Vertical Tabs", but not when I click to collapse the sidebar. Ctrl + Alt + Z does the latter, so it is not an alternative to F1. I actually want to be able to disable and enable tst with one hotkey, not hide/show the sidebar.

EDIT: Actually, F1 might have performed both actions, as when using external TST previously, the whole sidebar disappeared when toggled off, but now in 6.6.3, the sidebar remains there and only TST disappears, even when integrated TST is enabled alongside the external one and "Hide tabs and sidebar" is checked.

Reproducible?
