Save to Pocket won't allow sign in once extension is enabled

What happened?

I have enabled the pocket extension for Waterfox in about:config but when I click the extension button on the toolbar it displays the image I have attached here

https://preview.redd.it/gfzg5jo185yb1.png?width=490&format=png&auto=webp&s=a90a7447c64f82b241f37c4f0d080e9f08877f81

Regardless of whether I click to 'log in' at the top right or 'activate pocket in Waterfox' I can sign in with my email or Mozilla account and it will take me to my list of saved items for my pocket account. But when I go to use the save button after signing in; it hasn't saved my login and instead continues to shows the option to sign in.

I have used this extension before on multiple chromium browsers before using Firefox but haven't had any luck with the browser made by the same company who made the extension, which is even more confusing.

Reproducible?

I'm having the same issues using Waterfox G6.0.14 (64-bit) on Linux. I'm able to login, but the pop-up when clicking the icon always shows the image reported above.

Firefox does not appear to have this issue.

I did some more comparing to about:config in firefox searching for "pocket". I set the following which were blank in Waterfox, based on what I found in Firefox:

  • extensions.pocket.api: api.getpocket.com
  • extensions.pocket.site: getpocket.com
  • extensions.pocket.oAuthConsumerKey: custom/per-user value

After I set the last one, the pocket button started working.

@adamboulton24 , does this work for you?
