Waterfox 4.1.4 seems to take much longer than 4.1.3.2 to open fully
What happened?
Hello,
This is a strange one. I upgraded one PC to 4.1.4 and thought instantly that it took longer to fully open : longer to load the Bookmarks bar, longer to load the add-ons, longer to give me my New Tab with Google as my default page.
I thought maybe I was mistaken, cleared the cache, but still felt it was taking longer to load fully.
I then upgraded a second PC and the same distinct impression again : it was interminable in loading the pinned tabs, and everything else as per the first PC. In fact the first load never completed - so I stopped the loading, cleared the cache, closed the browser, re-opened it and, still, it loads up much more slowly than 4.1.3.2 was. On this second PC, which is actually a faster PC than the first one, it is very obvious.
I am not able to pinpoint anything that will help you guys, but it is definitely loading much more slowly.
I have 5 more PCs and a few laptops to update from 4.1.3.2 and I will try to provide some timings when I do them tomorrow but, in the meantime, I am putting this out there in case others are experiencing the same issue.
EDIT
I can now confirm there is a definite problem with loading - on my second PC, which has pinned tabs, it never completes the loading fully.
Here is my list of add-ons - my NEW TAB OVERRIDE never completes loading on the PC that has pinned tabs (no problems on the PC without pinned tabs).

@Objectivite - thanks for raising this, we are trying to repro this internally but are aware that several others are facing the same issue. There were only a few changes for 4.1.4 so we should be able to get to the bottom of it.
Thanks for the reply Adam, and Thanks for confirming.
Interestingly, so you know, once 4.1.4 is finally fully loaded, in use it is faster than 4.1.3.2. Just thought I'd mention that.
O.
This may just be a subjective opinion based only on personal experience in a single machine, but Waterfox 4.1.4 has actually improved its start-up times.
A solution for slow browsers in general is installing them on a different folder than recommended, with no signs of it being a browser(ie. installing in C:\Homework or something like that), it seems Edge can´t sabotage them that way.(very noticeable improvement on OG Firefox)
