Silence between synchronised stimuli

Open BrechtDeMan opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

I require a fade out and then fade in again (with short silence in between) when switching from one stimulus to another. The stimuli are synchronised, meaning the new stimulus picks up from where the previous one left off (provided it hasn't been 'stopped'), though in this case it should fade out to silence and then fade in again.

Relates to presilence but this only inserts silence at the very start of each stimulus, even when it has not been playing (making the interface feel a bit less responsive too). Also kind of like postsilence except that one only has effect when looping (not noticeable otherwise).

Look at the crossFade in the setup part of the wiki.

This is a linear crossfade from fragment A to fragment B, no? What I'm after (slightly less standard) is fading out to silence, then fading back in, for synchronised stimuli i.e. not starting from the start the whole time.

I believe presilence only adds silence to the very beginning to the buffer and not when skipping to some point in the middle of the fragment.

May be too specific, though if it's not too involved to do I could really use it.
