Blezz fails to grab keyboard

Excited to try Blezz, but when compiling and running on Ubuntu 17.10 I get "Error in gui, got the message: failed grabbing a keyboard." I've tried increasing the number of iterations in the call to grabKeyboard https://github.com/Blezzing/blezz/blob/8643772c1aebc47e1c7a7956f4c8c18bc6169ace/src/gui.c#L280 with no luck.

Happy to help with debugging this, just not sure where to start.
