Create community & foundation swag
We have stickers, but there is also interest for designing additional swag like t-shirts. We brainstormed idea in our last design huddle.
Considerations:
- With on-demand print services (RedBubble, etc), it might be enough to upload the designs and everyone can individually order their size, color, etc. That also simplifies distribution for us.
- Classic t-shirt and hoodie or a more unique format?
- How can the foundation be represented? This is more important for the foundation admins when they explicitly represent the foundation at events.
Generally, everyone is welcome to make chip in. Not sure we need a huge consensus around one design, especially if go for on-demand printing.
Another thing we may want to do is to create flyers, or possible a zine for the community and foundation.
At every conference, there are tables where people drop flyers and stickers. At BTC Prague, everyone who entered the main stage area had to pass two long tables like that. So if we can place some fun, well-designed flyers and stickers, we may get some good exposure. Good thing about a flyer is that we can explain a bit more, include URLs, etc.
Bitcoin Design shirt files can now be found on the design files resources page (Figma community file). There are 14 different taglines.
I ordered a few different ones for the crew that will be attending Oslo Freedom Forum next week.
