What is the state of this proposal?

Found this while looking for a b-tree (not bstree) implementation for C++, preferably in boost, but it looks dormant. Has this been superseded by something else or just deemed no longer interesting?

FWIW, I am not interested in using it for its applicability to non-RAM storage.
