Apologies this got abandoned. The patch is conflicting with newer changes and is somewhat outdated. @ehossack are you still interested in getting an updated version of this merged or should I close the PR?

It's up to you. I had the time to see this to completion in 2021, I still think your documentation needs work, so it's more of an ask than a contribution. I did the starting work to demonstrate that it was important to me, but it's yours to do as you will :)
