Azurite extension not available in Cursor
Hi
I am using cursor IDE and I used to be able to find and install azurite in Extensions tab. But for some reason, I no longer can find it there. I still can find it in VSCode extensions. I did some research and I guess it's because Azurite extension is not published on https://open-vsx.org. I wonder if this is something you can fix?
Thanks
Hi @shan63 ,
Thanks for reaching us! However, we only have Azurite release for npm, docker, VSCode extension, our team haven't release Azurite to Cursor, not sure why you can find it in cursor IDE.
You might can use Azurite in npm or docker as a work around. Or you might can contact the owner of https://open-vsx.org/ to see who added Azurite, and why it can't be found now.

Cursor is based on VSCode, so it should be able to install most of the VSCode extensions. But from Cursor's website:
While Cursor is built on VS Code's foundation, not all VS Code extensions may be available or work exactly the same way due to Cursor's additional AI capabilities and verification requirements.
I guess that's the reason why we cannot see Azurite from Cursor. The page also mentions that the owner of the extension can request verification. Is there a plan to get it verified for Cursor? @blueww
@hanshsieh
We have discussed inside our team. We will stick to VS code, and don't have plan for cursor.
You can use other installation of Azurite, like npm, docker.
I will close this issue. Feel free to contact us if need other assistance on Azurite.
