Varia Themes: Request to Not Display Submenus of Submenus Unless Hovering or Clicking on the Parent Submenu

What

Only display Submenus of Submenus when hovering or clicking on the parent submenu

Why

If there are nested submenus, the Varia themes display all submenus and their submenus under the main heading.

The Varia style is more confusing and harder to navigate.

How

This is a feature request to allow our Varia-based themes to only have submenus of submenus display when hovering over or clicking on the parent submenu, as is done in the Independent Publisher example; or, to have an option to choose how it is displayed.

Note that there is a similar, but different, issue about this here:https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/1915 The other issue is reporting that the submenu items are not indented to show they are at a different level.
