Create F-Droid version
https://github.com/AudiusProject/audius-client/issues/952
Hi! Could it be possible to add Audius app to F-Droid? (https://f-droid.org/) It would be great to have it, especially for people who use free (as in freedom) and open source software. Here are the instructions for submitting applications: https://f-droid.org/contribute/
Why this suggestion is not even considered? It would be a great thing and you would instantly get new users that uses OSApps but didn't know your platform.
At least distribute it via GitHub releases in .apk form so we can download it and keep it update with third party softwares like Obatinium, NeoStore or Droid-Ify.
I don't have Google Play, and I don't trust apps only distributed there. Even bigger projects like Brave and Firefox distribute their software via GitHub. Think about it.
Just want to mention I agree it would be awesome getting this to F-Droid. I don't have Google Play either so right now I can't check out this project even though it looks cool.
@145818 don't worry, the app is bugged, heavy and very very laggy. It requires G Play Services in order to run and asks a bit too much permissions IMHO. Also, it's filled with AI generated, Trap and electronic music... you don't lose much not using it. Even $AUDIO rewards are bugged and were never granted to me even completing "quests". Filters need improvements. The whole infrastructure is bad. If you really want to give it a try, use the Web app which at least is lightweight and compartmentalized in your browser and works the same as the installed app (both on PC and mobile). I stopped using it, I'm more into FOSS portable multi-source desktop music clients now and I'm satisfied with them.
Muffon (which I tested and works great), and Nuclear (which I have to test)
