Allow the extension to run searches in the background

Hi, First of all, thank you for your great work on this extension.

I would like to request a new feature: The ability for the extension to continue performing searches in the background, without requiring the popup window to remain open.

This would make the extension more practical and allow the search process to run independently once the user clicks “Start”.
