inform/markread

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Some people get a lot of informs, particularly org informs, and want to be able to just mark them as read without necessarily deleting them.

Describe the solution you'd like inform/markread <number>[=<end number>], inform/markallread, and the inform/org equivalents for both. The first would mark specific informs as read based on the inform #, and the second would just mark everything as read.

Describe alternatives you've considered Apparently people who are not be are BOTHERED BY SPAMMING THEMSELVES. I just read all my informs.

First: Reading all your org informs? That way lies pure madness. Second: Wondering if this isn't possible as a toggle, rather than a lengthy command. Allow people to set options on which org informs they watch and which they ignore. For instance, if you really don't care about who is doing +work for the org on a given week, you can toggle it to reduce or eliminate the informs you get pertaining to +work rolls. Then there isn't a situational /markread, it just thins the informs in general. Similar to how you can partially opt-out of email lists, or combine multiple weekly emails into a single digest.

It would be GREAT if the whole thing was kind of revamped to allow for much finer control over stuff. I was going for a more simple approach that would address a desire I've heard multiple times, which I often start with because they can be easier to implement and thus people will have use of them quicker.

I fully get that, and simple is an excellent way to get it done quickly. I was feeling ambitious, I guess.

If Tehom is fine with this edit, I can probably make the solution you were describing.
