There is a new project with 100k++ downloads per month https://github.com/CanHub/Android-Image-Cropper
Is a follow-up from this repository, with all bugs fixed, more stability etc
The idea is that we keep improving because this project doesn’t have updates since 2018

I have pinned this issue and added a "not maintained" note on the project page linking to CanHub fork. Thanks @Canato for taking this project forward and keeping it alive.
p.s. it would be nice if you maintained the chain of contributions in the namespace like I did for edmodo :)
