Not updating properly

so when i update mods it doesn't delete the old mod and not updating the mod pack with the new version

To update modpacks you need to check the corresponding checkmarks when updating. Locked modpacks also are never altered. The old version is only deleted if all references in all modpacks have been updated and the corresponding option in the settings is configured accordingly.

If you are positive you checked all of the marks and none of the affected packs were locked please provide me with detailed instructions to reproduce.
