Sticky language selection in 1.12.7138

Since upgrading to AnySoftKeyboard 1.12.7138, there seem to be issues with making the language choice reboot persistent. This seems to be true at least for German. After a reboot, it app says that language would not be fully configured and the menu (world symbol -> language), only English is available. Upon force quitting the app, the selected language is available immediately.

To me, this looks like core app might start first and during its first start, maybe the language pack is not yet present.

Is there a way to mitigate that in a reboot persistent manner? Can the user do anything? Is this a bug in the app?

I cannot use any keyboard other than the default Samsung keboard before first device unlock, this seems to be an Android (15) security feature. So I can't really compare whether the issue is there before first unlock. It definitely is there directly after first unlock.
