Chosen keyboard layout is not kept for both Anarchy Gnome and Anarchy Budgie after installation

Open FredBezies opened this issue 8 years ago • 7 comments

I noticed these both flavors doesn't keep chosen keyboard layout on installation.

I selected fr (for my azerty layout keyboard), but after I logged on both Gnome and Budgie, I had a qwerty layout activated.

I didn't test "classical" version of both environment. Will test them as soon as possible.

Annoying.

Will test and report.

Edit: no. At least for Anarchy Budgie. Still an english US keyboard layout by default.

Modified title in order to explain better the problem.

On first start, keyboard is not set using chosen layout during installation.

Looks like my bug report was not that cleaner.

Looks like I closed this bug too soon. Keyboard is kept for lightdm, not in desktop environment :(

It seems I have the same problem. I am using the anarchy linux 1.0 iso from the web site in VirtualBox I have installed the xfte (anarchy linux) version.

Using locelectl status I get

System Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
VC Keymap: uk
X11 Layout: uk

As I want to use uk that looks actually all right.

However the top line numbers (1 to 0) on the keyboard produce: !@#$%^&*() with Shift which resembles the us layout, not uk. Additionally the key next to the z (bottom, left) produces < > and the two keys next to m (bottom, right) with Shift also produce < >. The last observation makes me think that I don't have a normal keymap at all as there schould not be < > mapped twice.

And to clarify. The linux console (without GUI) is fine.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

I have found out a few things and described in #638 that helped me to solve my problem. Maybe that can be applied here as well. I have linked an Archlinux issue, maybe if you read that ?
