Add preliminary repository for Microsoft software
Microsoft publishes an RPM in their repos which provides a canonical YUM repo file; however, it seems to be common practice not to use this package-owned file. This makes the upgrade more trouble than it should be. Instead, make sure that the package is installed during the update, and then rename the old manual repo file to disable it on first boot into the new OS.
The actors all depend on the accompanying PES vendor in order to do anything. See Almalinux/leapp-data#30 for that commit.
Thank you for contributing to the Leapp project!
Please note that every PR needs to comply with the Leapp Guidelines and must pass all tests in order to be mergable. If you want to re-run tests or request review, you can use following commands as a comment:
- leapp-ci build to run copr build and e2e tests in OAMG CI
- review please to notify leapp developers of review request
Please open ticket in case you experience technical problem with the CI. (RH internal only)
Note: In case there are problems with tests not being triggered automatically on new PR/commit or pending for a long time, please consider rerunning the CI by commenting leapp-ci build (might require several comments). If the problem persists, contact leapp-infra.
Hello and thanks for contribution.
We're going to rebase AlmaLinux's leapp-repository to latest upstream, see explanation here:
https://github.com/AlmaLinux/leapp-repository/issues/86#issuecomment-1876145441
So this PR will need to be updated to target almalinux-ng branch when 3rd party repos support there is ready.
Current stable almalinux branch is now obsolete. I'll keep you updated.
