Configurable tooltip delay

I want to make a certain tooltip appear instantly when I hover over a module, is there a way to do that?

I have not figured out a solution. But I also haven't really tried.

I had a look around (I don't have experience with GTK programming).

The Gtk::Tooltip class does not mention anywhere a tooltip delay. On StackOverflow I've found a mention that adjustable tooltip delays (at the application level) were deprecated long ago and are now fixed.

I think tooltip delays are simply not possible unless one wants builds their own widget (as mentioned on SO).

Happy to hear from people with more context.
