More accurate display of used memory

I saw a discrepancy between neofetch display of used memory and waybar module of memory.

I investigated the problem and I found this issue: an old modification of this problem. But in the meantime neofetch changed what displayed used memory is by a new method to calculate it. There you can find the new method and a link which explain the method.

Edit: If this modification is wanted I will be glad to help implementing it!

I am experiencing this as well, with bottom (left terminal window) showing a lower memory usage:

OS: Fedora 38 (Asahi Remix) Waybar: 0.9.22-1.fc38 Device: MacBook Air M1

I have almost half of my RAM available to be used at any moment, currently used only to cache disk contents in RAM. But Waybar says "81%" used. This is just silly.
