Restore snapshot functionality

There's code that exists to save some sort of snapshot/screenshot of a recording and then have it displayed in the UI when choosing a recording to load. As far as I can tell, it is unfinished or broken. It would be cool to get this working. However, it might be better to just scrap it and clean up the related code.

image Looks like viewing a test snapshot works (with a weird artifact on the first pixel), but for some reason new saves don't properly save the snapshot
