Selective mode on Android TV
Issue Details
Currently, the Android TV app can either filter all traffic or not work at all. But sometimes you want the VPN to work only for certain sites and apps, and not filter the rest.
Proposed solution
Add split tunneling (selective mode) as in the Android smartphone app.
Alternative solution

We will add this feature in future versions if there are many users who vote for this feature request!

Вот и я о том же! Нужно пустить тубчик через него.
С добавлением этой функции вы сможете освободиться от части нагрузки на свои сервера, т.к. VPN на Android TV нужен для единичных приложений.
This should be standard in all vpn mobile, pc and tv apps, not everyone wants all traffic going through a vpn, some app you need to access without a vpn.
I vote for this! Also A kill switch as it should be standard and very important.
btw why its not published in the amazon forestick appstore?
This really should be a core component of any VPN. I've just paid for a 5 year license and it's disappointing to find this feature is absent.
They do not seem to care about this at all, no updates, nothing happening, just abandoned. Who makes a VPN and thinks everything, apps and websites must go through the VPN, you need apps and websites to be filtered, ridiculous!
I don't think they care about anything worse VPN ever I will never buy from them again 😡😡😡
Just wondering—why is split tunneling still not available in AdGuard VPN for Android TV?
It’s such a basic feature, and it’s already supported on other platforms like Windows, Android (mobile), and iOS. I’ve been on a 3-year subscription since April 2024, expecting it to roll out eventually for Android TV, but here we are, over a year later, and still nothing.
This is honestly disappointing, especially since split tunneling is a key feature for anyone trying to use streaming apps alongside VPN protection. I’m starting to feel like the Android TV version isn’t getting the same attention or support as the others.
Is this feature coming soon? If not, I may have to consider switching to a service that offers more complete support across all platforms once more. It would be frustrating to waste the rest of my subscription, but without split tunneling, the app just isn’t as usable for my needs.
Would love to hear from the team or others in the community—has anyone heard any updates?
It is completely a waste of money I bought express VPN offering a splitting tunnel . I threw a 5 year license in the bin they don't support most of the services you can't really rely on adguard VPN is not stable at all
This feature would be great. It's the only reason I'm not considering adguard at the moment
