The problem
It would be nice to be able to group devices (by user, type, etc) so filters can be applied to groups rather than per device.
Example: Adult 1 and Adult 2 might have a Mobile phone, Tablet, laptop, etc and then IoT devices (TV's, Amazon Echo, Wifi Plugs, etc) and then Kids
Being able to Group the Adult 1's devices so adult websites, gambling, etc are NOT blocked but other options are Adult 2 might not want Adult content and then Kids would have everything blocked.
By having this you can then have more defined blocking and access by a group or user rather than having to exclude the specific websites per device as this can take a while and things can get missed.
Pi-Hole has this feature
Proposed solution
Groups of devices defined by kinds of device or users name an then defined access within each group eith devices added for each user by MAC address
Alternatives considered and additional information
Pi-Hole has this option where you can configure groups and add devices to group block lists
