Set up new OTIO web site
- content
- structure
- documentation (move from RtD)
- who would do the design
@ssteinbach I would like to help with setting up OTIO new website..
FYI, DPEL is just transitioning to a Markdown-based system for their website, which seems to be working well. See here: https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/dpel-website
@hisergiorojas are you still interested in working on this?
@jminor Yes, I'm still interested in working on this.
Thanks @hisergiorojas - when you have time, could you take a look at https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/dpel-website and see what it would take to use the same infrastructure for OTIO?
Essential items that should be included/linked from the main web site:
- Main web site: http://opentimeline.io/
- Documentation: https://opentimelineio.readthedocs.io/
- Source code on GitHub: https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/OpenTimelineIO
- Discussion group: https://lists.aswf.io/g/otio-discussion
- Slack channel: https://academysoftwarefdn.slack.com/messages/CMQ9J4BQC
- To join, create an account here first: https://slack.aswf.io/
- Presentations: https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/OpenTimelineIO/wiki/Presentations
We can also repurpose some of the images/slides from recent OTIO overview presentations so that the basic question of "What is OTIO?" is clear at a glance on the front page.
