Viewer: Keyboard shortcut for GLSL Vulkan Shader source
MaterialX Viewer has a few very helpful shortcuts to save the current material shader to file. ("G", "Save the current GLSL shader source to file."), ("O", "Save the current OSL shader source to file."), ("M", "Save the current MDL shader source to file."),
We would like to include a new keyboard shortcut "V" to save the current GLSL Vulkan source to file
The keyboard shortcuts are handling here
The task would be to follow the same pattern and write out the output from VkShaderGenerator similar to the current GlslShaderGenerator
Hi @ashwinbhat @kwokcb @jstone-lucasfilm would you mind if I took this one for the May DevDays event?
My only caveat is that I'm arriving on Thursday from vacation so I'm not sure I can finish within the 24-hour timeframe. But I do want to tackle the issue to refamiliarize myself with the project code base.
Welcome aboard @juandejoya - the 24hr timeframe for dev-days is not a rigid requirement. It's more about focusing support efforts from the project to help people out - if things take a bit more time thats totally fine. Good luck and hope you enjoy dev-days.
