Selection feature with RViz plugin

Have you'll considered adding the "Select" feature to the RViz plugin for users to be able to click on a GridMap cell and get it local & global coordinates. It would also be great to get the list of layer values for the selected grid cell. I, personally, do not have much experience writing RViz plugins so was wondering if this a planned feature or if you have thoughts on how easy/ hard it would be to implement something like this. Thanks!

Excellent idea, @ammarhusain! I don't have the capacity to work on this right now, but I'm happy to work with anybody who wants to implement this feature.
