Individual/gradient colors for app icons

Is your feature request related to a problem?

Until the latest update I was able to choose different colors for app icons by manually changing the theme color and changing the Material icon. It was beautiful. Sadly, this feature/workaround is gone now.

Describe the solution you'd like

I hope enhanced color customization will be available in the near future. It would be even better if you could just choose each icon color individually or set two colors (top and bottom) to create a gradient.
