can't add any channel other than random or general

Please fill only what you can

Describe the bug unable to join channels other than #general / #random. channels are set to public, and bot has been invited to channel.

To Reproduce

  1. Setup token key for (legacy) bot
  2. install demo code in app.
  3. attempt to add any public channel other than 'general' or 'random', either via name, id or both.
  4. channel does not show up as an option.

Expected behavior expected the channel to show.

I'm out of troubleshooting ideas, suspect it may be related to the legacy bot API and permissions, but can't find any docs.

found the issue, the channels I wanted to join were beyond the default limit of 100 channels, happy to submit a patch if someone will approve?
